Great Neck eruv
The Great Neck Eiruv, which describes itself as one of the largest suburban eruvin anywhere, is inspected weekly by Rabbi Eitan Rubin and posts its status for each Shabbos at greatneckeiruv.org.

What it covers
The eruv covers much of the Great Neck peninsula, and its southern boundary ends at Northern Boulevard. It is run by the GN Eiruv Association and maintained by Rabbi Eitan Rubin with weekly inspections and constant repairs and upgrades.
The North Shore University Hospital complex has its own separate eruv, which is not connected to Great Neck proper.
Outside the eruv
- Everything south of Northern Boulevard — the eruv's southern boundary
- North Shore University Hospital and LIJ — both are outside the Great Neck Eiruv
- Community Drive
- Shorecliff Drive between Hawthorne Lane and Parkwood Drive is no longer completely inside — call 516-965-2774
- Areas north of Cherry Lane, until further notice
- Areas south of Clair Street and the entire Great Neck Terrace area, until further notice — do not carry when approaching the Babylonian Jewish Center from Clair Street

Good to know
- On Shabbos, don't carry when walking to visit a patient at North Shore or LIJ — both hospitals are outside the Great Neck Eiruv. (On Yom Tov, carrying is permitted.)
