New Haven eruv
The New Haven Eruv is checked every Friday morning. Call its hotline, 203-387-3897, on Friday afternoon to confirm it is up โ the eruv says you cannot rely on it just because it was up the week before.
How to check whether it's up
- Eruv Hotline 203-387-3897
- Website nheruv.net
What it covers
New Haven Eruv, Inc. publishes a main map plus maps for Yale and New Haven, Yale hospital access and Hopkins School, and reports on both the New Haven and the Yale eruvin. Check your own street on the maps rather than assuming a neighborhood is covered.

Good to know
- Halachic questions are decided by the eruv's Halachah Committee โ Rabbi David Avigdor, Rabbi Fred Hyman and Rabbi Chagie Rubin, with Rabbi Aharon Sorscher as consultant. If something along the boundary looks wrong, the eruv asks you to contact a committee member rather than conclude it is down, since many places along the perimeter have backups.
