How to check the eruv βThinking of moving to Cleveland?
The full relocation guide covers what housing costs, which section to look at, kosher shopping, schools, and how families actually get around on Shabbos β written for someone deciding whether Cleveland is the right community for them.
Read the Cleveland moving guide βCleveland is one of the Midwestβs most complete Orthodox communities, and one of its most affordable. The shuls cluster in two places. South Taylor Road in Cleveland Heights is the densest stretch β Young Israel of Greater Clevelandβs branch, Congregation Torah Utefillah, KβHal Yereim, Shomre Shabbos and Ahavas Yisroel are all within a few blocks β with Beis Doniel and the Warrensville Center Synagogue close by. South Green Road in Beachwood and University Heights is the second hub, with Green Road Synagogue, Khal Bnai Torah and the Beachwood Kollel side by side, and Oheb Zedek-Cedar Sinai and the Heights Jewish Center on Cedar Road.
The community has two mikvaos listed on mikvah.org, established day schools including the Hebrew Academy of Cleveland and Fuchs Mizrachi School, and Telshe Yeshiva in nearby Wickliffe. Housing is mostly single-family homes at prices far below the East Coast communities, which is a large part of why families relocate here.
