Picking a block

The walkable core is Passaic Park: the blocks around Terhune Avenue, Brook Avenue, Aycrigg Avenue, and upper Main Avenue put you within reach of most shuls and the kosher strip. Young families tend to start in the garden apartments and multi-families near Brook Ave and buy within the same grid a few years later. Kosher and daily life

Aisle One Kosher covers the full weekly shop, Main Avenue has a growing restaurant row, and the PCK supervises local establishments. For anything missing, Monsey and Brooklyn are each about 30–40 minutes away.

Commuting

One of Passaic’s biggest selling points: NJ Transit buses run from the neighborhood to Port Authority in roughly 35–50 minutes, and the Passaic rail station connects to Hoboken and PATH for downtown. Drivers reach the George Washington Bridge in about 25 minutes off-peak via Route 3 or Route 21.
