Monsey eruv
The Rockland Eruv is one comprehensive eruv around Monsey, with a perimeter of about 26 miles. It replaced most of the area's older local eruvin, including those of Vishnitz, Forshay/New Hempstead and Wesley Hills.

What it covers
In the eruv's own words, its boundaries are Route 202 to the north, the New Jersey border to the south, Pascack Road east of Route 45 to the east, and Spook Rock Road to the west — a perimeter of about 26 miles. There are also separate eruvin around Good Samaritan Hospital and the Bikur Cholim rooms in the Helen Hayes complex in Haverstraw.
The map is divided into sections so that a break in one part of the perimeter before Shabbos does not invalidate the rest. It is still one eruv.
Monsey, Wesley Hills and New Hempstead are served by it; the older Wesley Hills and Forshay/New Hempstead eruvin were folded into it. For Spring Valley and Pomona, check your own street on the official map — ShulMap does not work out coverage from a perimeter description.

- The eruv's own guidance: it is important NOT to assume that it is up.
- Built between November 2004 and October 2005 under Rabbis Richard, Rotenberg, Rubin, Schabes, Sommer, Spiegel and Steinmetz. The Vishnitzer Rebbe makes the brachah for eruvei chatzeiros.
